Our aim is to walk, explore and enjoy Cairns and Far North Queensland.
We also enjoy walking holidays.

Cairns Ramblers is affiliated with Bushwalking Queensland.
Bushwalking Queensland is a member of the national body, Bushwalking Australia.
Bushwalking Queensland is a member of the national body, Bushwalking Australia.
Clubs affiliated with Bushwalking Queensland participate in an Australia-wide insurance scheme administered by Bushwalking Australia providing Personal Accident and Public Liability cover.

We generally walk on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday every week and sometimes at weekends.
If you would like to join us you can walk as a "Temporary Member". Temorary Members are asked to complete an "Acknowledgment of risk form" for insurance purposes when they arrive for a walk, and asked to pay $5 towards club costs for each walk they attend. Tuesday Walks - Easy to Medium

Tuesday walks are generally easy to medium in difficulty. This is were we recommend newcomers start.
We try very hard to provide a wide range of walks, some flat and longer in distance, some more challenging, but always interesting. |

Wednesday Walks - Hard and Fast

The idea of this walk is to provide a hard fast workout for walkers who want to build up their aerobic ability and walking strength.
We often stick to a few local hikes, go early and finish early. |

Friday and Weekend Walks -
Medium to Hard
|
These walks are generally medium to hard. We may go a longer distance and hike over difficult terrain.
Sometimes these walks could be a "reccy", a walk not previously walked by the leader. |
